George Hudson: Railway King
George Hudson controlled a significant part of the railway network in the 1840s, including the line between Selby and Hull which runs through Howden’s station. He became known as the ‘Railway King’ but then succumbed to financial difficulties. This talk will be given by Chris Cade, storyteller and actor and should be entertaining and enlightening.
