Howden is home to a number of historic venues that now serve the local area, providing welcoming spaces for residents, visitors and community groups alike.  There’s also a host of entertainment and activities on offer at local venues throughout the year, so you’ll never be short of things to do in Howden!

Howden Minster, a historic Grade I listed church, hosts regular worship services, weddings, christenings and funerals, and provides a welcoming space for community activities and events. The Minster also holds free music concerts, featuring professional classical musicians, throughout the year.

Howden Shire Hall is a multifunctional venue situated in the heart of Howden Town Centre. As a vibrant arts centre, the Hall runs an exciting arts and entertainment programme year round. The Hall is also available to hire for private functions, and hosts regular classes, activities and meetings for local residents and community groups.

Howden Social Club is a local venue and a popular hub for the community. Sporting events are shown on big screens in the bar, and there is a full programme of regular events and activities, including darts, pool, bingo, quiz nights and more. Howden Social Club is also available to hire for private events.
