Howden Shire Hall is a multi-functional community venue and arts centre located in the heart of Howden Town Centre.

As an arts hub, Howden Shire Hall offers a wonderfully varied entertainment programme throughout the year, including music, theatre, comedy and cinema. It also serves as the local Tourist Information Point. In addition to live arts and entertainment, a number of classes are held at Howden Shire Hall on a regular basis, including yoga, dance, music and language classes.

The Hall is available to hire for a wide range of events and functions, with affordable rates starting from just £50. It’s a popular choice for parties, weddings and celebrations, as well as being used by local businesses and community groups for meetings and workshops. If you’re interested in local history, be sure to visit Howden Shire Hall to view the unique collection of tapestries on display. Created by members of the local Women’s Institute in the 1960s to commemorate 700 years of Howden Minster, the tapestries depict historical scenes in Howden. This striking collection is now on permanent display at Howden Shire Hall.
