Ginger's Ice Cream Parlour

Ginger's is a traditional ice cream parlour in modern accessible premises on the ground floor of the attractive Highgate House on the corner of Hailgate in our growing historic and picturesque market town of Howden.

Pay and display car parking is just a few steps away.

Ginger's was established in January 2022, fulfilling the ambition of its' owner and so-called in celebration of redheads everywhere. Smartly dressed parlour assistants provide a warm welcome to everyone and can advise on special diets.

The south facing terrace provides a wonderful seating area on sunny summer days.

Dogs are welcome and 3 flavours of doggie ice cream are available.

An ideal 'stop-off' after a walk in The Ashes or around Howden Marsh with the dog, a relaxing stop during a shopping trip into the town, a great 'pit-stop' on a bike ride or a special trip out to visit, you will not be disappointed.

The main offer is cones/tubs of yummy Italian gelato in over 30 different flavours including dairy free, several fruit sorbets, sundaes, milk shakes, and iced coffees. Our delicious coffee beans are freshly ground and then served in all the popular styles. Our variety of teas cater for every taste including a decaffeinated brew and go well with our popular range of cakes, traybakes and cookies.

Our speciality is fast becoming our freshly made range of mouth watering waffles and crepes served with fresh fruits and gelato.
